Next
Step : All Dough We are setting up an apprenticeship program in
baking. The bakery shall be called “All Dough...” The bakery “All Dough” will be a venue for community
outreach and service/programs. The World Bank, through Australian Aid –
Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program, will donate equipment
and funds for the project’s capacity building component. This is made
possible through a grant won by CARD in the 2006 Panibagong Paraan Grant
Competition held in May. The title of the project is ‘Enabling and
Empowering Person with Autism through Employment.’ We envision a program where potentials of
individuals with autism will be tapped to enable them to serve and be
productive members of the society. This project will hopefully be
replicated in other communities through networking, information dissemination,
scholarships, and training.
